Editorial: As U.S. axes affordable housing, Florida dare not raid trust fund

The Orlando Sentinel highlighted the “chronic shortage of affordable housing in Metro Orlando.” in a March editorial. The article highlighted the impact that will be felt by the Orlando Housing Authority as a result of President Trump’s plans to cut $6 Billion from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and eliminate Community Block Development Grants and the HOME Investment Partnership, two programs that address the need for affordable housing.  Read More
