New senior low-income Georgetown Square Apartments to begin accepting applications

From the Sanford Herald: The application process for low-income senior housing in the Georgetown Square Apartments on Locust Avenue in Sanford is expected to start around Aug. 17.
The $14.8 million apartment complex will hold 90 one and two-bedroom apartments. Most of that money will come from housing credits. Housing credits provide organizations with a dollar-for-dollar reduction in tax liability. In exchange, the organization provides funding to rehabilitate or build new low-income housing units.
